About me

My Approach

Person-centred therapy, developed by Carl Rogers in the 1940s-50s, is grounded in one belief: you are the expert on your own life. My role isn't to fix, direct, or diagnose you - it's to walk alongside you in a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours at your own pace.

Therapy, to me, is about relationships. Meaningful change rarely comes from advice or instruction - it comes from being deeply heard and genuinely accepted, often starting with how you relate to yourself.

Core Principles

Unconditional Positive Regard Complete acceptance and support, without judgment or conditions.
Empathy Understanding your experience as closely as possible to how you experience it.
Congruence Authenticity and transparency, modelling what it looks like to align inner experience with outward behaviour.

What You Can Expect

  • A safe, confidential space to speak freely, without fear of judgment.
  • Steady support throughout your journey - whether healing, self-discovery, or trauma work.
  • Client-led sessions - I won't impose topics or hand you solutions; lasting change comes from what you find yourself.

Who Can Benefit

This approach suits people working through anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, or broader personal growth - especially those looking for a non-directive, empathetic space that honours their pace and autonomy.

If this feels like the right fit, feel free to leave a message or book your free 20-minute consultation.

Before you begin

Questions you might have

What happens in the free 20-minute consultation?

A relaxed, no-pressure conversation - we'll talk about what's brought you to therapy, and you can ask anything about how I work before deciding whether to continue.

Do you offer online or in-person sessions?

Currently, online sessions only.

How many sessions will I need?

There's no fixed number - it depends on you and what you're working through. Some people come for a few sessions; others stay longer. We can review this together as we go.

Is everything I say confidential?

Yes, in line with BACP's ethical framework - with the rare exception of risk of serious harm, where I may need to break confidentiality to keep you or someone else safe. I'll explain this clearly before we begin.

What person-centred therapy isn't
  • Not advice-giving - I won't tell you what to do; the aim is to help you find your own answers.
  • Not diagnosis-led - you're a whole person to me, not a checklist of symptoms.
  • Not structured or homework-based, unlike approaches such as CBT - direction comes from what you bring.
  • Not analysis - I won't interpret your dreams or unconscious motives and tell you what they "mean."
  • Not passive listening - I'm actively present, reflecting and engaging with what you bring.
What if I don't know what to talk about?

Completely normal - you don't need an agenda. We simply start with whatever's present for you that day.

Are you in clinical supervision?

Yes - it's a requirement of BACP membership, not optional. I reflect on my work with an experienced supervisor on an ongoing, confidential basis, as an ethical safeguard for your wellbeing.

What if therapy doesn't feel like the right fit?

That's okay, and worth telling me. The client-therapist relationship matters more than any technique, and not every therapist suits every person. You're free to pause, change approach, or stop at any point - no obligation, no judgment.

What if I'm in crisis or need urgent support?

This service isn't equipped for emergencies. If you're in immediate danger, call 112 (India's national emergency number) or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
